Chile & NZ Agritech Transfer Forum
Callaghan Innovation is honoured to be co-hosting the NZ visit of a group of six Chilean farm Technology Transfer leaders who collectively work with over 300 leading Chilean farmers.
About the group:
The group is organised by The GTT Foundation (La Fundación GTT) and consists of six coordinators representing Technology Transfer Groups (GTT: Grupo Transferecia Tecnologica).
GTT coordinators are influential stakeholders within the farming landscape in Chile. They are both trusted sources of information and trusted advisors to the sector. Typically agronomists, veterinarians, or farm consultants, they work with groups of 10 to 15 farmers, each providing advice and guidance on what and how to implement technologies on farm. The group travelling to New Zealand works with 26 groups made up of some 300 farmers.
Plan for the day:
Establishing models for knowledge-sharing from agencies and companies to farmers, as well as farmer to farmer.
Understanding the innovation eco-system in NZ and Chile.
Presenting on relevant NZ technologies.
Providing opportunities for knowledge exchange on NZ and Chilean farming practices.
When and Where:
Next Thursday, 20 April from 12pm-5pm at Callaghan Innovation offices: 1 Watt Street Parnell, with lunch provided.
