We headed to Central Otago to meet the innovative farmers and growers in the regions as part of our first-ever domestic agritech bus tour.

Recent research with over 100 agritech businesses revealed a clear support gap for scaling businesses, with support instead mainly focused on early-stage businesses at one end and exporting companies at the other.  Suggestions to help bridge this gap included more tailored financial and commercialisation support and better regulation.  This gap is also where Agritech Activator has focused its efforts, through providing a better system of networking and advocacy, connecting businesses to potential business contacts/partners and the resources they need to grow.
