Australian Market Immersion 2023

We're taking a delegation of New Zealand companies to South Australia in the lead up to evokeAG.

Our intention is to spend valuable time in-market to engage with local growers, innovators, researchers and investors to help them better understand the opportunities for their products and services.

A networking event for New Zealand and Australian companies working in the agritech sector who will be attending evokeAG 2023 in Adelaide.

Meet the South Australian Ecosystem: Monday 20 February

A day-long, market immersion experience for New Zealand companies working in the agritech sector. This trip is perfect for those wanting to explore and understand the agritech sector in and around Adelaide. 

Detailed Itinerary

Wednesday 15 February

Join us at the welcome dinner to kick off the market immersion.

Thursday 16 + Friday 17 February

We will start the day by visiting the University of Adelaide - the Waite Campus. The group will then escape Adelaide until the weekend on a Horticulture Field Trip.

These trips are proudly hosted by Callaghan Innovation, Elders and the South Australian Government PIRSA.

>> Field Trip: Horticulture - Loxton, South Australia

  • Three hours North East of Adelaide we have an action packed day centred around horticulture (e.g: citrus, almonds, viticulture, potatoes, glasshouses). 

  • Farmer/grower dinner 

  • Overnight stay in Loxton

  • Visiting local farmers and growers

Saturday 18 + Sunday 19 February

The weekend is mostly yours to enjoy.

From 3pm Sunday Callaghan Innovation in collaboration with AgriFutures Australia, Plant & Food Research and Veeva Systems will host a Let’s Connect networking event.

Allowing NZ companies and Australian counterparts to meet with hand-selected and relevant sector experts prior to attending the conference.

Monday 20 February 

Meet the South Australian ecosystem (in and around Adelaide). We will start with a funding breakfast event, if you are looking at entering the South Australian market, understand what funding you can access and things you need to know about the market.

We will have presentations from NZTE, Hydra Consulting/FOMENT, Farmers2Founders, Hort Innovation and the South Australian Government DTI. We will then head for a networking lunch at Lot Fourteen to meet with some of their tenants and understand what makes their ecosystem so special.

Our last visit for the day will be at the South Australian Aquatic Science Centre

Tuesday 21 + Wednesday 22  February

The evokeAG Conference - Down to Earth where you will explore how farming, tech, science and people collectively have the power to bring innovative ideas to life.

Flights

We have our flights booked and encourage you to do the same. There are some reasonable prices around, and some good direct services from Auckland to Adelaide. Book ASAP.

Accommodation

The delegation will depart from and return to the Holiday Inn Express, for the market immersion. The evokeAG website has some other accommodation options. Note the Adelaide Fringe Festival is on at the same time, so make sure you get your room booked.

Travel Insurance

If you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel. Please ensure you have adequate coverage.
